Governance structure
The highest decision-making body of the organisation is the general meeting of members, which approves the annual plan of activities, reviews the financial report, and elects the board. Each member in good standing has one vote, regardless of the size of their plot or the level of their contribution.
The board carries out day-to-day management between general meetings. Board roles — chair, secretary and treasurer — are held by volunteers who receive no salary, fee or benefit in kind for their service. Minutes are kept for every board and general meeting.
As a branch organisation of the Czech Gardening Association (Český zahrádkářský svaz), we follow the association's statutes and reporting obligations, and cooperate with its regional structures on horticultural guidance, training and shared events.
Financial transparency
Income. Annual member contributions, voluntary donations from individuals and local businesses, and grants awarded for public benefit projects by municipal, regional or national bodies.
Expenditure. Seeds, seedlings and native plants; tools, composting and irrigation materials; educational materials for schools and families; maintenance of shared paths, fencing and water points; administrative costs such as postage and statutory fees.
No profit distribution. Any surplus in a given year is carried forward and reinvested in the organisation's programmes. No surplus, asset or benefit is distributed to members, officers or third parties.
Records on request. Members and grant providers may request the annual activity report and financial summary in writing at info@cernozicehorseclub.org. We respond to documented requests within 30 days.
